Leo woke up in his room. He remembered the test, but he didn't know how much he had been sleeping. He thought that it was stupid for him to always end up fainting, or sleeping, but that morning he felt strangely good, so he changed to the usual clothes, and went downstairs, and met Ly there, while she was cooking something.
- Good morning Leo. It's nice to see you awake already. Dad told me he wasn't sure how much would you sleep.
When Andur came, the three of them ate and talked for a bit, then Andur and Leo went outside.
- So Leo... are you ready to start practicing?
- I think so. I woke up in a good mood today.
- Ok then. You have already found a trigger for your eye, but that way of opening it will not work for discrete usages. It will draw all the spiritual energy from the surroundings, without limiting itself, so never use it unless you are in a special situation where opening it the normal way is not an option. Now, sit there, looking at me.
Leo and Andur sat down one in front of the other, with a few meters of separation between them.
With the eyes closed, Leo started to breath deeper, trying to remove everything from his mind. When he reached enough relaxation, Andur talked to him.
At the beginning, Leo couldn't see anything other than the shadows and highlights in his closed eyes. He had that strange mood that day that helped him keep the relaxation at really good levels. After some minutes, some faint flashes started to appear in his mind... flashes that didn't come form his real sight. Those flashes started to become stronger and better defined. He could see the shape... bees, ants, butterflies... and lot of other kinds of small animals that moved fast. Then he could see bigger lights, some fainter, some stronger, but slower moving. He noticed the trees, balancing their branches full of leaves at the rhythm of the wind. He then saw a really faint silhouette just in front of him, and a slightly stronger one where the house was.
With his eyes still closed, he raised his hand, and saw the spirit of a butterfly stopped in it for a bit, just to fly away.
After that, Andur raised his hand, with the palm upwards and said 'Saa'. Suddenly, the breeze that was flowing became stronger, and Leo could see a faint red light in it.
He told his spirit to do the same, he thought about moving the wind, he thought in every atom of air around him, and ordered it to move forward. Then his spirit reacted... it's glow changed from faint white to red, and the air moved... too fast. Leo told himself to relax, stopped moving that wind, and started again, with less strength. After a few attempts he could choose better what speed he wanted, and he repeated the name in his head every time... Saa.
Leo closed his eyes again, and relaxed. He breathed deeply, and slowly. With his eye, he chose to find the water, and he found it, not far, in the river. Then he raised both of his hands and called that water.
He wanted the water to appear in his hands, so he asked his spirit. And the spirit answered. A tiny drop of water was in his hands, but nothing more. So he tried again, just to get the same result. And he had to stop and breath a few times to regain the relaxation. And he tried to figure out what could go wrong.
He stopped trying to think, and after a bit he found the answer: Continuity. He was calling water, but just once. So all he got was that small drop. He needed to keep calling, more and more, until he had enough water.
So he tried again, but this time instead of just calling it, he continued to call and give energy to the spirit, so it could summon more. And the water started to flow from his hands, into the ground, until the cold water reached his pants and the surprise broke the concentration.
Leo got up, and went into the house to change and relax. That day he had done a lot.
