They left that same night. Leo didn't have much to pack so he was the first to finish. Andur then asked him to wait outside, with the soldiers. Leo did as he told him and went to meet the soldiers.
Outside, Leo met six people. All of them had some wounds, but they were generally more tired than hurt.
The first first person to talk to Leo was a girl called Amy, she told him she joined the Bladir when a beast killed her father. Her mother had died some years before, so she had no one else left.
Then he met Eanel, a mature man who seemed to enjoy playing with a small bubble full of water. He said he had joined the Bladir as a young boy, so that was all he had known.
After Eanel, Leo talked to a man about 35 years old, his name was Jinei. He told Leo he became a soldier because he wanted to feel useful. Jinei almost couldn't to magic, so he had to use a specially crafted sword with the ability to break through magic defenses, as long as he kept feeding the sword his his own energy.
The next was Garen, a strange man who seemed to be constantly surrounded by a shadowy aura. Even his voice when he said his name sounded weird, distant. He told Leo his reasons were personal, and he didn't want to say anything else.
Nathiel was a young boy, too young to fit in a army. He told Leo he was 12, and he wanted to join the Bladir so he could follow his brother's steps. They accepted him because he was really good at space manipulation, given his age. He also told Leo that the battle with those beasts had been in his first real battle.
In the furthest corner was a woman that wouldn't even look at them. Amy told Leo she was called Eana, and also told him she had had some troubles with men when she was younger, and since then she had a hard time even just talking to one.
Amy, who seemed to be the one who liked to talk more, told Leo those beasts gave them more trouble than they could have imagined. They seemed stronger than the ones they were used to, and that caught them off-guard. She told Leo the group used to have more than fifty people, and the ones who weren't there all died against those beasts.
After that, she asked Leo about his own story. Leo told them about most of what happened, but he never mentioned anything about his spirit color, or about the black cloud.
Short after that, Andur went out of the house, followed by a big bubble with Ly inside. Then, with a worried face, he asked if everyone was ready to leave, and no one could say no.
As most of them were tired, they walked slowly, but they didn't stop until after three hours. When they found a cave, big enough for all of them to sleep in. When all of them were inside, Andur removed that bubble from aroudn Ly, and used his magic to build a wall of rock, resembling the rocks in the surroundings, and he intentionally left some small holes open so the air could still flow. By then, Amy had created a small ball of light, and was looking at the sleeping Ly. For a bit, Leo also did the same, but before he could think, he was already sleeping. That night, Leo had many nightmares.
