The three weeks felt long for Leo.

Partly because he really wanted to know more about his spirit and power, but the main reason was Ly. Since the day she found out they wanted to leave, she had been distant with him.

Leo couldn't  stop wondering what could be wrong with her, but he was too afraid to ask, specially when she didn't seem to want to tell him anything.

Ly had told him she would be leaving too much behind, and that was understandable. Unlike him, she had all her friends and belongings in that place. But what could that have to do with the change in how she treated him? What might she be hiding from him? Leo couldn't stop thinking about all that, and the days became long.

On top of that, Andur told him he had to leave for a few days, and he still wasn't back. "Three weeks are more than a few days", thought Leo.

Just like the previous days, Leo was already alone when he woke up. Andur was gone, and Ly probably left early like every morning, and wouldn't be back to the house until it was dark, just to make some dinner and go to sleep, without ever talking to Leo.

Out of boredom, Leo had gotten used used to follow a simple routine that would keep him busy as much as possible. After waking up, he would eat breakfast, walk to the forest, and then open his eye and do some concentration training. After that, he would pick up, randomly, a word from one of his learning books, and practice doing magic with it. He spent most of the morning with that, until he felt too hungry to continue. Then he would go back to the home, eat something, and rest for a while, until the questions and thoughts started to get into his head, the moment he would go out and do some body training.

Running, martial arts moves, weightlifting... as a teacher, Andur had a nice training area not far from the house, where Leo could practice and sweat his troubles away for a while.

Once he was tired, he would go back to the house, get a shower, and rest near the fire until Ly was back, then they would eat and go each to his own bed.

At some point Leo realized how much had his life changed since he went to that world: In his home, he was pretty much a lazy guy. He didn't work, he didn't do any sport, and he barely went out of home unless he was going to school. In contrast, in that world, he had learned how to do magic and some basic martial arts moves, he had been about to die twice, and had a friendly fight with one of the most powerful mages in that country.

That day, when Leo was back in the house after his body training, while he was resting, he noticed Ly was taking more time than usual to go back. Right after that thought, Leo heard some noises coming from outside. He wondered what could it be, so he went out and around the house, trying to find where did those noises came from.

Then he saw her in the ground, wounded, bleeding from many places, barely breathing.

- Oh my god, Ly! What happened to you?

He didn't need an answer. A big beast was running towards them, clearly not with friendly intentions. Leo instinctively used his eye and created a energy barrier around them.

But, he noticed the beast's aura too late, and wasn't prepared for a magic collision. The barrier broke easily and the beast was free to jump at them. Instead, the beast fell to the ground, unable to move.

Leo was confused. But everything was happening too fast. Someone appeared from the other side, and with a single word, made a rock spike grow from the ground, piercing through the beast's body.

- Shit - said Andur -. I hope I wasn't too late. How's Ly?

- She's alive - replied Leo after looking at her -... the wounds look bad, though.

- Lets take her inside for now, we'll talk there.

Andur used his powers to move Ly, softly, to her bed, trying at the same time to stop the bleeding. Leo couldn't do anything as he was still too confused, so he just limited himself to opening the doors and moving a chair that was in the way.

After Ly was in her bed, Andur asked Leo to go get some towels and prepare hot water. Leo did so, obediently, and he would still need some days to realize Andur told that to him just so he wouldn't get in the way, as both Andur and him could have summoned the water and heat it up without moving from that room.

Meanwhile, Andur did what he could to stop the bleeding, using his limited healing skills. When Leo went back with the water and towels, Andur used them to clean Ly's body from the blood. Leo, partly ashamed to look at Ly's body like that, and decided to leave the room and wait outside.

Andur took some more minutes to go out of the room, time enough for Leo to blame himself, for not being able to help her more, and for not having been able to be there to protect her when she was attacked.

After Andur went out of the room, he bade him a signal with his hand to follow him downstairs, and in there he talked to leo.

- We don't have much time. But I will try to say the important things, that include the reason why Ly changed so much since we told her you wanted to leave.

» You probably don't know about it, but this world has been in a war for some time. This place, along with other four, and the city in the center, form a protective pentagon that delimits what's probably the last untouched part of this world. Outside, nothing is safe anymore. In the past three weeks, I have been leading a army of Bladir soldiers, defending one of the edges of the area. Three days ago we found signs that some beasts had managed to cross the defenses and come into the area, and I organized a small group of soldiers  to help me follow them. They were headed directly to here. We found the main group three hours ago, and I left the soldiers fighting it while I followed one set of tracks that went ahead of the rest. That was when I found both of you in out there.

» Also, things were getting bad in the borders. Most of the soldiers are already mobilized so we don't know how long will our defenses last. What that means is, we have to leave now. The more time we stay in here, the more chances we will regret it later. Specially seeing how, lately, they seem to have one clear target... you.

- Me?!

- Yes. We don't know why, but all the signs point directly to you. The Blaar decided that given the circumstances, the best thing for our interests would be that you left, and that, as your teacher, I should be the one to guide you in the outer lands. So go prepare all what you might need, this is not the way I wanted this to be, but there's no other choice anymore. The soldiers know about this and will head to here once they are done with the beasts. When we are all ready, we will leave towards Hystaeria. The first step of our journey to Rhyen'dar.
